We tour the Inferno Effects booth at Transworld’s Halloween and Attractions Show. From Boar Masks to an expansion into Evil Candy Corn Props, we’ll learn about all the new products and trends.
My name is Adrian. I'm here with Inferno Effects, and we're at Transworld 2023. One of our new products this year is our updated Boar. It's got a new articulate jaw with resin teeth. It's lightweight, and filled with foam, so it's comfortable whenever you wear it. It comes in a black scheme, a flesh white scheme, and also a brown scheme. Why a Boar instead of a regular pig? Pig masks have been done, you can find them anywhere at every booth. A boar is more of a wildlife ticket, you don't see a lot of them out here when you go to haunts. You got those nice, resin, sharp teeth, all that detail you get with those masks.
Another new product we have here at this show is our Cornholio's. They're tiny little monster candy canes who are not a very big fan against the Elves on the Shelves kind of thing. These are static little foam props. They're foam with little resin hands that are posable. We still make a bunch of the new masks and we're still doing that as well, but I wanted to branch out and do something new.
Creatively you want to expand on it. Just doing the same face over and over again kind of gets boring. The real reason behind it was kind of, just really not as exciting. I was texting conversation with my sister and I said, "I need a new prop." So, she sends me a little GIF of a candy corn, and I went, "that right there," and that's exactly what I created, straight from that. Then yes, you also got a life-sized gingerbreads that comes in your standard cute version, or the one that wanted to take a chunk of bite for your hungry needs.
Then also, those who are following on social media know all about this project, this was supposed to be a month-long thing, but I only got a week, and to make it worse I only had a day to sculpt from scratch. It's a nice little lightweight foam vulture. It's got punched in feathers all the way up to laid-down hair work, all the way through here. It's quite light, one hell of a project to put together. If you treat the fur properly, it will survive outside, just like all products that have hair on it. Give it a little of that and you'd be OK, but definitely, as is right now, would be indoors.
