By blending gourmet food, live performances, and thrilling haunts, Scarehouse Windsor expands the audience for haunted attractions. As more haunts look to innovate and expand their offerings, immersive dining could represent a key growth area for the industry.
Scarehouse Windsor's (Windsor, ON) immersive three-course dinner experience offers guests a unique blend of gourmet dining and horror, with multiple themed dining rooms that can accommodate over 100 guests per seating. Guests arrive at the haunted house 90 minutes early to enjoy their meal before getting express pass access to the three haunted houses. This premium package raises per capita spending to $125 per guest while expanding the audience by attracting those who may not typically attend a haunted house. Fewer than 10% of haunts incorporate food, and this model represents a significant opportunity for the industry to grow both revenue and appeal.
Today – I speak with Co-Owners Shawn Lippert and Dario Silvaggi about these dinners and how they fit into the haunted attraction.
